We use high-quality suppliers to guarantee our products are made in a way that reduces waste and conserves energy.

Consideration for the environment begins long before our toiletries are packaged. For example, ingredients within our toiletry products are safe and kind to our surrounding environment. Our toiletries are manufactured using carbon neutral energy where possible and are not tested on animals.

When it comes to packaging, we are careful to ensure our suppliers are continuing to research and implement the latest practices for sustainable packaging, passing these improvements on to our consumers.

The packaging for our toiletries is biodegradable, meaning an enzyme is added to all our plastics to ensure the containers meet ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards.

It’s important to us that we support businesses that put an importance on the care of our environment and trade in an ethical fashion.

Our main supplier, places an importance on becoming a carbon neutral business, which is one of the main reasons why we chose to work with them.

Over the past five years, they have been working hard to reduce their carbon emissions by offsetting the CO2 produced, by investing in environmental projects, such as the planting saltbush in salinity affected areas.

Mini Care Mates uses Sendle for our smaller delivery services, Sendle are a 100% carbon neutral business. This means a lot to us, as more than 10% of all global CO2 emissions come from transport and logistics – and we don’t want to be part of that statistic.

Every year, Sendle asks its community of business owners (including us!) how we’d like their carbon emissions to be offset. In the past, this process has seen environmental support implemented globally, such as by restoring endangered rainforests and providing clean water in nations that desperately need it.

Sendle isn’t the only service business we work with that places an importance on giving back, another supplier also works closely with the charity Soap Aid, donating unused soaps and saving them from landfill.

The soaps are recycled and turned into soap bars, which are distributed around the world to adults and children in need, keeping communities clean and stopping the outbreak of disease.

Our suppliers also contribute to many carbon neutral projects around the world, such as solar power projects in India and Mauritius, and wind energy solutions in China and the USA.

At Mini Care Mates, we do our best to help out charities across Australia, by donating our toiletry care packs to people in need. For example, we recently worked with Escabags providing toiletries to women and children escaping domestic violence situations around Australia. You can read more about the charity here.
